Overview

This Tips and Tricks video shows how to use Chaos Cloud and V-Ray to set up and review your Render Elements.

It shows how to:

• output renders with the EXR and VRIMG file formats;

• use the V-Ray Frame Buffer to review Render Elements.

Steps

To load the scene as an EXR file, follow the steps below:

1. In the Render Settings window, from Render Elements tab, select the elements you want to submit to Chaos Cloud.

2. Press Submit to Chaos Cloud rendering button, and then the Submit button in the newly opened window.

3. In the new web page that opens, you can change the render settings. Once you are ready, press the Submit button to upload the job.

4. When it is successfully scheduled for rendering, press the View Job button. A new window opens.

5. Wait for the rendering to finish and press the Download button to download your .zip scene.

6. Open the VFB in 3dsMax. Load the scene as an *.exr file.

To load the scene as an VRIMG file, follow the steps below:

1. In Render Settings window, from V-Ray tab, enable the V-Ray raw image file option.

2. Set a file path, name, and save it as a *.vrimg type.

3. Press Submit to Chaos Cloud rendering button, and then the Submit button in the newly opened window.

4. In the new web page that opens, you can change the render settings. Once you are ready, press the Submit button to upload the job.

5. When it is successfully scheduled for rendering, press the View Job button. A new window opens.

6. Wait for the rendering to finish and press the Download button to download your .zip scene.

7. Open the VFB in 3dsMax. Load the *.vrimg scene.
